Players don't have to do anything
No app on their phone, nothing to charge, nothing to remember. One device, one instruction: plug it in near the bed.
It cannot watch or listen
There is no camera. Sound never leaves the device as audio, only as a loudness number, so it measures how loud a room is and never what is said in it.
